Springtime

by Cesura Collective

The wind of revolution that sweep the arab world are the symbols of our time, changing and evolving. Cesura’s photographers put their effort into documenting these events, to chronicle all the facets that defined and keep defining this process. Through the stare of those watching history in the making, wanting to save this witness once the news wave trials off, and hence committing into an on-going watch that goes further the duty of reporting.

The outcome is a wide-ranging collective work, supported by extra-contents like pictures and video produced by the characters of the events themselves, unaware creators of one-off products, whose relevance is key inside a story with many authors.

Tunis, January 18th, 2011. Tuesday saw new demonstrations in Tunis and reports of protests elsewhere. Riot police were deployed in central Tunis as large crowds gathered to voice their anger at the make-up of the new government. Police broke up at least one rally and clashed with some protesters, who waved banners and chanted anti-RCD slogans.
